We’ve crafted for you the next best solution with our summer trio comprising three magnificent Jessup bottlings. These include our new season Carneros Chardonnay, our summer-in-a-glass Sauvignon Blanc and pool-side ready Ma Chérie Rosé.
Typically unavailable as a set, higher yields and production have allowed us to offer these three fan favorites simultaneously, giving you added variety to take your entertaining to the next level. Whether it’s crisp and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc, rich and indulgent Chardonnay, or bright and delicious Rosé, you’ll be all set for sunny celebrations and summer vibes.
What we celebrate in this summer trio is the harnessing of age-old tradition and flagship varieties blended with contemporary technique inspired by our pursuit to live in the moment.
2018 Jessup Carneros Chardonnay
Our Jessup Carneros Chardonnay is from the cooler climate Carneros region. The fresh nightly breeze sweeps north destined for Napa, gracing the rolling vineyards of the Los Carneros valley. Acidity among grapes remains bright and lively, and we capture this freshness with minimal intervention allowing the wines to speak confidently with pride of place. Abundant aromas of ripe Meyer lemon, stone fruit and melon pair delightfully well with a host of summer foods. The palate is rich and creamy with a long, full finish. Try with something light like a flaky and buttery caramelized onion tart, a seafood risotto or our house cheese pairing. Winemaker Rob Lloyd pairs this decadently with French Domain du Vallage aged triple cream cheese.
Nothing shines like a summer’s day, more than Sauvignon Blanc. Our approach for Sauvignon Blanc has always remained consistent. Rob has strived for purity of fruit and well- structured mouthfeel. This isn’t a porch pounder but a Sauvignon Blanc to savor. The plentiful palate of pineapple, lychee and white peach is enlivened with the quenching freshness of grapefruit, green apple and gourmet herbs. A short rest in old oak barrels complements this freshness with fullness and complexity.
Pair simply by itself or with cheese and crostinis, a summer salad or Asian style stir-fry.
The sourcing of cool climate Carignane fruit from coastal Mendocino and Dry Creek valley captures bright and upbeat accents of pomegranate and cranberry. Following a burst of tantalizing citrus, Ma Chérie finishes with a rich bounty of red berry fruit, watermelon and vanilla cream. A wonderful wine for a warm, lazy summer’s afternoon winding down with your nearest and dearest. We’ve coined Rob’s craft “The Art of the Blend”, how you enjoy can totally depend. Uncork them all at once for a frisky summer festivity or slowly at your leisure, both options will be a pleasure.
